The FACC Youth Summit 2017 hosted close to 30 participants that attended a one day event that consisted of fun-filled learning activities on leadership and governance, how to utilize social media, as well as topics on culture and heritage of the Philippines.

The speakers and facilitators included Kirstan Feist, president of the Filipino American Student Association University of North Carolina Greensboro, retired teacher Gloria Grifinhagen of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, Myra Tranquilino, Lincoln Charter, Alex Romero, artist/photographer, Ann Gonzales, business co-owner at Create-ster and Mirasol Abogi also of Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.
